Maintenance programmes are available to keep the memorial in good condition. These programmes will not completely stop marble stones from weathering but will greatly reduce the rate of this deterioration.

We recommend that all memorials should be insured even though the risk of damage is relatively low.

Although the materials used for memorials are long lasting,
the general condition of the stone will deteriorate over time due to the effects of weathering. This is particularly true of marble and natural stones. To combat this process, the memorial can be cleaned three times a year. We would also raise and level the stone,
if necessary and report any damage.
In order to arrange a contract we would need to inspect the
memorial and set an annual fee.
Normally the charge would be between £30 and £60.
